Katie McCabe bagged a brace as Arsenal Women romped to a 5-0 victory over Charlton Athletic in the Continental Tyres Cup.

The Ireland captain grabbed a goal in either half as the Gunners secured a facile victory over their fellow Londoners.

Vivianne Miedema grabbed the opener in the sixth minute, before setting up McCabe to finish and double the Arsenal lead in the 29th minute.

The Gunners led 2-0 at the break before further strikes from England international Beth Mead and Dutch striker Miedema gave Arsenal an unassailable lead after 74 minutes.

And McCabe wrapped up he victory four minutes later as the home side eased down the gears for the final ten minutes.

Ireland centre-half Louise Quinn had a relatively quiet night at the office, helping the Gunners to a clean sheet against the Addicks.
