Alan Browne has committed his footballing future to Preston North End after signing a new three-year deal with the Championship club.
The Cork native was named the club player of the year last season, the midfielder playing 44 times for the Lancashire club throughout the 2017-2018 season.
The midfielder made his Ireland debut against Mexico last summer and has been a regular member of Martin O'Neill's squad since that substitute appearance.
Preston finished the season just outside the play-off places in seventh place and Browne is hoping the new deal can inspire a better campaign next season.
"I've probably progressed year on year and I've been rewarded with contracts at the end of most of those seasons so that's been really pleasing for me," Browne told the club website.
"More so last year than any other I really kicked on and showed my true potential and carried that out.
"Last year was really pleasing for me but at the same time there are things I could have done better and in the coming season I want to try and develop my game even more, continue to progress and help to get the club to where we want to be."
Fellow Ireland international Sean Maguire also signed a new deal at Deepdale, while Graham Burke recently signed from Shamrock Rovers to make up a nine-strong Irish contingent at the club.
