Republic of Ireland 1-0 Denmark

Troy Parrott's first half goal gave the Republic of Ireland a narrow win over Denmark at St George's Park in Burton this afternoon in Group C of the UEFA European Championship Under-17 Championship.

Parrott struck in just the fourth minute from long-range as Ireland recovered from their opening game defeat to Belgium.

Colin O'Brien's side are now in contention for a quarter-final place ahead of Friday's final group game with Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Senior manager Martin O'Neill and assistant Roy Keane were watching on along with chief executive John Delaney.
