RTÉ Sport will show the Republic of Ireland’s two World Cup play-off games in November.
The opponents and exact dates are not yet known but the two legs will be live on RTÉ television, RTÉ radio and the RTÉ Player, along with comprehensive online coverage.
Unseeded Ireland will face either Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Portugal or Switzerland.
The draw will take place next Tuesday with the play-offs taking place over two nights in November, between 9-11 and 12-14.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s game drew an average audience of 861,200 to RTÉ2’s live coverage.
That means that 51.28% of all those watching TV at the time were tuned into RTÉ2.
The TV audience peaked at over 1.1 million people as the game went into the final minute of additional time.
Last night's game saw the highest volume of live streams for any event this year to date on RTÉ Player.
Total live streams reached 123,254 surpassing the previous high of 107,451 set by the All-Ireland football final.
