Former Sligo Rovers defender Seamus Coleman has been named in Giovanni Trapattoni’s squad for Ireland’s upcoming October international matches.

The Everton full back is the only uncapped played in the squad that will meet on Monday for the two games against Russia and Slovakia.

Fulham defender Stephen Kelly has been ruled out with a calf injury, while Ipswich's Darren O’Dea is also unavailable with a knee injury.

Keith Treacy and Cillian Sheridan have both been put on standby.
