Shamrock Rovers have signed defender Trevor Croly and striker Liam Kelly from St Patrick's Athletic. Both players have agreed terms, however, 28-year-old Croly will undergo surgery on a groin problem before he is registered as a Hoop.

Rovers manager Liam Buckley said: "I am delighted to capture both Liam and Trevor for Shamrock Rovers. I have worked with both before having signed Liam Kelly for St Patrick's Athletic from Shelbourne, while Trevor was part of my championship winning team at Inchicore."

Meanwhile, midfielder Scott Oakes, formerly of Sheffield Wednesday and Luton Town, is on a 10 day trial with Shelbourne.

Shels have also released details of a number of pre-season friendlies. Pat Fenlon's side will play Linfield at Windsor Park on Monday March 10 (7.30pm kick-off), Bray Wanderers on Saturday March 15 (venue & time to be decided) and Athlone Town at St Mel's Park on Tuesday March 18. The Dublin club then travel to Marbella, Spain, for a one-week training camp on Thursday March 20.
