Bray defy St Pats and climb to second spot

Bray Wanderers moved up into second place in the eircom Premier Division tonight when they drew 1-1 against St Patricks Athletic. Ten-man Bray mounted a second half fightback at Inchicore after going behind to a Robbie Griffin goal on 20 minutes and having Wesley Charles sent off six minutes later. Wanderers' heroes were Colm Tresson, who equalised after 59 minutes with a 25-yard free kick, and keeper John Walsh who saved a Martin Russell penalty on 67 minutes.

In the First Division Waterford United won 2-0 away to Drogheda United with goals from Joe Watson and Eric Bradley after 9 and 51 minutes respectively.
