The joint Ireland/China boat Green Dragon will discover later today whether her third place overall in the Volvo Ocean Race will hold or drop as Leg 3 from South Africa to India draws to a close.
The top three places for this leg are already claimed following overall leader Torben Grael's result with Ericsson 4 at the weekend.
But Green Dragon is locked in a group of four including American entry Puma and the Limerick owned Team Delta Lloyd as they close on the finishing-line at Kochi as winds fall from light to calm.
Green Dragon is tied on points with Puma and whichever finishes first will claim third place on overall points after two of the ten legs in the race.
Second place for this leg was claimed by Spain's Telefonica Blue while Grael's stable-mate Ericsson 3 is expected to cross the finishing within the next hour.
