The Ireland men's sevens team have won Rugby Europe Division C and with it secured promotion to Division B.
A 50-0 win over Bosnia in the final saw Ireland take victory in the tournament. They reached the final four with a six-try 38-10 victory in the quarter-finals over Austria in Zenica, Bosnia, with Diarmaid McCarthy scoring two and Cian Aherne, Alex Wootton, Michael Lawton and Adam Byrne also touching down. That win automatically guaranteed Ireland promotion before demolishing Turkey 41-0 to reach the event's final against hosts Bosnia.
Ireland will compete in Division B on 20 and 21 June in Croatia.
The winner of that division goes on to compete in the Olympic repechage in Lisbon on 18-19 July with a single spot at Rio 2016 up for grabs.
