JJ Hanrahan will make his first senior start for Munster when Italian side Zebre visit Thomond Park in the RaboDirect PRO12 on Friday night.

The 20-year-old has been named as inside centre partner to Casey Laulala in a Munster team that shows nine changes from the one that started last Sunday against Edinburgh in the Heineken Cup.

One of those changes is positional with Donnacha Ryan moving from blindside to lock in place of Paul O'Connell, while five others, including Hanrahan, were involved off the bench last weekend.

So this time around, Felix Jones starts ahead of Denis Hurley at full-back, with Duncan Williams for Conor Murray at scrum-half.

Stephen Archer is in ahead of BJ Botha in the pack and Paddy Butler now wears the number 8 jersey with Peter O'Mahony, who had it the last day, operating at blindside.
