Ulster star Tommy Bowe will join Welsh side Neath-Swansea Ospreys at the end of the season.

Bowe was offered an extension to his current contract but has opted to further his career in Wales.

A product of Ulster School's and Academy system, Bowe broke into the Ulster team during the 2003-04 season. He has been an ever-present since then, amassing over 80 appearances for Ulster and ten Irish caps.

Ospreys coach Lyn Jones welcomed the player to the Liberty Stadium, saying: ‘We are delighted to be able to confirm the signing of Tommy Bowe, whose considerable talents will increase the options available to us behind the scrum.

‘Although still only 23 years of age, he is a top quality player who has already enjoyed success with Ulster and has made an impact in international rugby. He has a very bright future in the game, and we're all delighted that this will be with the Ospreys. I'm sure that he will be prove to be just as popular at the Liberty Stadium as he is at Ravenhill.

‘We have made considerable progress on the field this season and are currently looking forward to big matches in both the EDF and Heineken Cup's in March and April, but that doesn't mean that we can afford to become complacent if we are to achieve our aim of establishing ourselves amongst Europe's elite rugby outfits.’
