Jane Cecil’s Chigun and David Wachman's Duntle feature among a field of 11 fillies and mares declared for the Duke of Cambridge Stakes on Wednesday.

Chigun ran out an impressive winner of the Group Three Abu Dhabi Stakes at the Curragh last month and following the death of her legendary trainer Henry Cecil last week, she would bring the house down at Royal Ascot if she can take this Group Two prize.

Duntle is already a winner at the Royal meeting having landed last year's Sandringham Handicap and she booked her return by making a winning return to action in Leopardstown's Amethyst Stakes.

Dancewiththedevil is a fascinating contender for Roger Varian, making her first appearance for the trainer having won multiple Group Ones in South Africa.

The Michael Stoute-trained Dank has major claims on the strength of her victory over Chigun in Newmarket's Dahlia Stakes, while Roger Charlton's Thistle Bird is a big player following success in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom.

Ralph Beckett will be hoping a confidence-boosting win at Nottingham can bring out the best in Moonstone Magic.

French raider Sarkiyla, Beatrice Aurore, Intense Pink, Ladys First and Sweetnessandlight complete the line-up.
