This afternoon's meeting at Bangor has been abandoned following a second inspection.
Clerk of the course Andrew Morris held an initial check at 7.30am after temperatures dropped well below freezing overnight.
He decided to take another look at the track at 9am but was forced to call off the meeting as temperatures dropped away again at first light, leaving the track frozen in places.
He said: "The temperature did what we feared it would do. We were just about at freezing by 7.30am but the temperature dipped all the way back to down minus 3C at first light.
"We're at minus 2C now and there is not enough encouragement in the forecast to give us hope that the frost will come out in time to race."
