Goodwood run part of Russian plan

Plans for the next outing of Classic-winning filly Russian Rhythm are set to be finalised over the next few days. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly beat Six Perfections to land the Sagitta 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in May, and followed up with success in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

She has the option of staying at a mile and taking the colts in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, or stepping up to 10 furlongs for the first time to tackle the Vodafone Nassau Stakes at the same meeting. It hasn't really been finalised yet, although she will appear at Goodwood, Chris Richardson, racing manager to owners Cheveley Park, said today.

Mr and Mrs Thompson (owners of the stud) have been discussing it regularly while they've been at the Stud this week, but I think we will know more in another day or two. But she does look fantastic at the moment.
