Sprinter Leon Reid has been selected for the Irish Olympic team after the athletics squad for Tokyo was named.
Reid was put forward for selection by Athletics Ireland and his selection has now been ratified by the Olympic Federation of Ireland.
Reid (26) has pleaded not guilty to charges he and 17 others are facing in the UK, having appeared at Bristol Crown Court via video link with the other defendants last month.
Elsewhere, it was disclosed that Thomas Barr, who finished fourth in the 400m hurdles in Rio in 2016, will not feature in the mixed 4x4 relay as it is too close to his individual event.
Cork's Phil Healy will compete in three separate events, the 200m, the 400m and 400m relay
"It is a real honour for any athlete to be selected to represent their country at the Olympic Games," Healy said.
"To achieve qualification in one event is a dream for any athlete as the Olympic Games is the pinnacle of any athletes career. I am thrilled to be selected for two individual events in addition to the mixed 4x400m relay.
"Every athlete has worked so hard to get to this point and it's made all the more special to have such a large and strong athletics team heading to the Games."
Speaking ahead of the Olympic Games Team Ireland Chef de Mission for Tokyo 2020, Tricia Heberle, said,
"We have here a talented team of athletes, who have been faced with a challenging season of competition. For some qualification was confirmed early on in 2019, but for other athletes like Mark English, were achieving standards right until the last day. We have a strong team travelling with us to Tokyo, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do on the world's biggest stage."
