Germany snatch men's C2 1,000 title
Germany's Peter Kretschmer and Kurt Kuschela surged through the field to snatch victory in the men's canoe double 1,000m on Thursday in a thrilling first final of the morning.
The duo, who took silver at the European championships this year, passed Azerbaijan in the last 200 metres to take the title.
Andrei and Aliaksandr Bahdanovich of Belarus took the silver to add to their gold from 2008, and Russia took the bronze.
Australia win men's canoe sprint K4 1,000m gold
Australia won the Olympic gold medal in the men's canoe sprint K4 1,000m at the 2012 London Games on Thursday.
Australia finished with a time of 2 minutes 55.085 seconds at Eton Dorney in London to claim its sixth gold medal of the games.
Hungary won the silver with a time of 2:55.699 and Czech Republic won the bronze with a time of 2:55.850.
Australia now have 27 medals at the games with Hungary collecting their 12th and Czech Republic collecting their seventh.
Hungary's Kozak wins gold in women's canoe sprint K1 500m
Hungary's Danuta Kozak won the Olympic gold medal in the women's canoe sprint K1 500m at the 2012 London Games on Thursday.
Kozak finished with a time of 1:51.456 at Eton Dorney in London to claim Hungary's seventh gold medal of the games.
Ukraine's Inna Osypenko-Radomska won the silver with a time of 1:52.685 and South Africa's Bridgitte Hartley won the bronze with a time of 1:52.923.
Hungary now have 13 medals at the games with Ukraine collecting their tenth and South Africa collecting their fifth.
Germany power to women's K2 500
Germany fired off the start to win the women's K2 500 metres and deny their fierce rivals Hungary a third consecutive Olympic title in a thrilling sprint on Thursday.
Germany's Franziska Weber and Tina Dietze, who won silver in the K4 on Wednesday, powered away to take a half-length lead down the Dorney Lake course.
Hungary flagged in the latter stages but held on to take the silver and Poland claimed the bronze.
