Marcus Gronholm claimed his third successive victory in the World Rally Championship at the Rally of Finland today. The Finn came home one minute 27.3 seconds ahead of Peugeot team mate Richard Burns. He now leads the championship by 17 points after his nearest rival, Colin McRae, was forced to retire two stages from the end when his Ford went on fire.

Subaru's Norwegian driver Petter Solberg finished third after battling with Spaniard Carlos Sainz for the final podium spot.
