Davy Fitzgerald has brought his two-season tenure with Antrim to an end.
The Clare man parted ways with the Saffron County after their Joe McDonagh Cup win over Carlow at Corrigan Park.
That result, a third straight victory in the competition, did bring a positive end to what had been a chaotic season for the Ulster side, although they still missed out on a final spot.
After a disappointing Division 1B campaign, Fitzgerald's side made a nightmare start to the Joe McDonagh Cup with defeats to Down and Laois.
Following the latter loss, the Antrim squad released a statement to the county board seeking clarity around the position of manager Fitzgerald, and a resolution to an issue concerning the allocation of training gear.
After a number of training sessions were cancelled, a solution was found with the side going on a three-game winning run, with Fitzgerald at the helm.
The former Clare, Wexford and Waterford manager raised eyebrows when it was announced in August 2024 that he was heading to Ulster.
Fitzgerald had an option for a third year after an initial two-year term, but has opted against taking it up.
