The Irish women's hockey side continued their preparations for the Olympic qualifiers with another convincing 3-0 victory over France.

Ireland attacked from the start and in the first two minutes had created two chances through Niamh Small and Aine Connery but the French keeper saved well.

They continued to press and it was no surprise when they took the lead after 18 minutes when after a cross from Nikki Symmons on the right gave Connery had an easy tap in to put.

The Irish extended the lead on 22 minutes when Megan Frazer finished well following good work by Lizzie Colvin.

The scoring was completed early in the ssecond half after great work by Nikki Daly, who set up her Loreto club mate Small to finish at the far post.

Ireland travel home on Monday evening and coach Gene Muller will name his squad for the OIympic Qualifier on Thursday next.
