Stephanie Meadow began her 2020 LPGA Tour campaign with a very credible opening round to take a share of 16th place following the first round at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio.
The Jordanstown native shot a one-under-par 71 to sit four shots off the lead going into Friday's second round in Florida.
Meadow shot a flawless if unspectacular round, which included 17 pars and one solitary birdie, which came on the par four second hole.
Jessica Korda leads the event on six under par as the America shot a remarkable 66, which included eight birdies and two bogeys.
Leona Maguire began her maiden season on the top female tour with a disappointing 79 to sit on seven over par after the first round.
