Kieran McGeeney includes five debutants in his Kildare side for Saturday’s Leinster SFC quarter-final against Offaly at Croke Park.

Under-21 stars Mark Donnellan, Daniel Flynn, Paul Cribbin, Niall Kelly and Paddy Brophy make their first Championship starts.

Flynn starts alongside his namesake Daryl in midfield, with Cribbin and Kelly alongside Eoghan O'Flaherty in the half forward line.

Brophy lines out at corner forward, while Donnellan starts between the posts.

Offaly meanwhile have included three debutants in their starting XV for the 5pm throw-in.

Cappincur’s Eoin Carroll, Ballyfore’s Daithi Brady and St Brigid’s Johnny Brickland will make their first ever Championship appearances for the Faithful.

Meanwhile, Edenderry’s David Hanlon, who was introduced as a sub during Offaly’s loss against Kildare last year, will start a championship match for the first time.

The team shows three changes in personnel to the side that went down to Limerick in the Allianz Division 4 final. Niall Darby (who is included among the subs), Sean Pender and Ross Brady have made way with Brady, Brickland and Hanlon coming in.
