Kerry captain Kieran Donaghy has been dropped for Sunday's All-Ireland final as the Kingdom take on Dublin at Croke Park.
The Austin Stacks full forward has been left out in place on Paul Geaney, who impressed as a second-half substitute in the All-Ireland semi-final victory over Tyrone.
The Dingle man replaced the Kerry captain in that narrow victory over Mickey Harte's side and scored some vital scores in an excellent display, which appears to have made up Kerry manager Éamonn Fitzmaurice's mind ahead of Sunday's showpiece at Headquarters.
Donaghy will now start this year's final on the bench with David Moran assuming captain's duties for the Dublin encounter.
Fitzmaurice has made three changes from the side that starting against Tyrone and has made some surprising changes in the full-back line as Fionn Fitzgerald and Aidan O’Mahony replace Paul Murphy and Marc Ó Sé.
