Antrim won their first a championship match since 1982 when they beat Down 0-13 to 1-7 at Casement Park today. Antrim midfielder Sheeney McQuillan was the hero as he put over eight points, while Down's Gregory McCartan was the villain as he squandered a second-half penalty which was easily saved by Sean McGreevy in the Antrim goal. McCartan had earlier given Down the lead when he scored from the spot in the first-half. Antrim now face Derry in the next round.
