New Westmeath senior football manager Dessie Dolan joins Mikey Stafford, Rory O'Neill and Niall McCoy to talk about his first management gig (not involving a team in his school).
The former All-Star forward says it was impossible to say no to his own county and is relishing the challenge ahead, building on the Tailteann Cup success of this summer.
Dolan was a selector under outgoing manager Jack Cooney and he is hopeful of keeping the same backroom team in place, including his good friend and coach John Keane, as well as adding another coach.
He spoke of Cooney's incredible influence on football in Westmeath and he is hopeful of retaining the majority of the panel next year as they look forward to participating in the new All-Ireland series as Tailteann Cup champions.
Mikey, Niall and Rory also discuss the latest proposed changes to the GAA calendar, the issues around the underage grades, that Limerick training jersey and the return of Jack McCaffrey and Paul Mannion to the Dublin fold.
