Sligo and Armagh were honours even in their All-Ireland football quarter final today, thanks to an amazing comeback from Sligo. Armagh were the better team for the majority of the game and Sligo looked dead and buried when David Durkin was sent off for an off the ball incident 17 minutes from time with them trailing by five points.

However Croke Park seems to bring out the best in Sligo and five unanswered points - two apiece from Dessie Sloyan and Padraig Doohan and one from Darragh McGarty - gave them an unlikely draw.

The replay has been scheduled for August 17th.
