Leitrim overcame London by 0-15 to 0-10 points in Ruislip today in a game which could have gone either way. The decisive point in the game came during the second half when Leitrim manager Declan Rowley introduced Fintan McBrien, James Houlihan and Jimmy Guckian to stabilise a shacky Leitrim team.

Houlihan and Guckian responded with points and the scare was over for Leitrim who will be happy to have escaped with a win against a battling London side. Afterwards Rowley reflected that relief saying, "We got out of it in one piece and that's as much as I can say about it."
