Bertram Allen partnered Pacino Amiro to a lightning-fast win in the jump-off class at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Stockholm.
Allen and his mount clocked one minute 55 seconds at the Olympic Stadium, defeating Germany's Daniel Deusser on Jasmien vd Bisschop by just 0.04 of a second.
In front of passionate crowds, home hero Peder Fredricson rounded off the podium on Catch Me Not S.
Allen told GCTV: "It was definitely a thrilling jump-off, it was fast and with Daniel and Peder both having good rounds, I knew I had to take a lot of risks.
"My horse jumped fantastic today so it was nice to come out on top."
Across the Atlantic, Conor Swail continued his incredible run of form with a runner-up finish in the five star Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows in Canada on Count Me In.
