Cian O'Connor took home the third leg of the Showjumping Ireland Autumn Grand Prix league on Sunday from James Kernan's Equestrian Centre in Crosmaglen.

Riding Dermot O' Rourke's Baloufina, the 29 year old Kildare born rider took the scalp of the 29 starters in the €4,000 class. O' Connor was one of just three double clear rounds and completed the six-way jump off in a time of 34.88.

This was only O' Connor's fourth visit home in little under three months and his third victory since taking the Millstreet Premier Grand Prix before jetting off to Barcelona to help Ireland retain a place as a Super League nation for 2009.

Lucy Buchanan and Irish Bearing's Ltd's Cavalier Andy took second with a double clear in 36.56. This combination has done very well in the past number of seasons at the top level and has also represented Ireland at the World Breeders Championships.

Alexander Butler was extremely close to the second spot having jumped a double in 36.57. Taking fourth and fifth were brothers, Daniel and Jordan Coyle. Daniel jumped clear in the first round on Larmelle Gii, but had two fences on the ground in the jump off compared to Jordan's higher score.

This win puts O'Connor fifth on the leaderboard but there was no change at the top with Benny Keuhnle untouched on the top spot.
