Caroline Ryan has qualified for the bronze medal final in the Women’s Individual Pursuit at the Track Cycling World Cup in Aguascalientes, following a strong performance in the qualifying round.
She was the fourth fastest rider, in a season best time of 3:34.668 seconds. Ryan will race against Ukraine’s Anna Solovey in the 3km race against the clock later on Friday.
Sprinter Eoin Mullen continued his progress when he once again broke the national record in the 200m Sprint, setting a time of 9.834, travelling at over 73kmph.
Despite being within .5 seconds of the fastest qualifier, Francois Pervis, who broke the world record in doing so, Mullen fell short of progressing to the next round, finishing in 32nd place.
