While yesterday Power took the start line in Italy in the Settimana Ciclista Internazionale Coppi-Bartali stage race. The opening stage was won by Alessandro Bertolini (Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni – Selle Italia) and Power came in 41 seconds later to finish seventh on the stage.

Power has always enjoyed riding in Italy and the omens look good for him to gain further high placings in this event which runs until Saturday.
