Former Australia international Nathan Hauritz has been appointed as Ireland's spin bowling coach.
Hauritz played 17 Tests and won 61 limited-overs caps for his country, taking a total of 128 wickets with his off-breaks.
The 40-year-old, who has coached the Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat franchises Down Under, will work with the senior men's and women's Ireland squads as well as with their pathway players.
"The opportunity was too good to not even think about," he said.
"I love discussing spin bowling from all facets, and to be able to do that in an international environment while travelling the world, how could you not want to do it?
"My particular interest as a coach is the tactical and mental side of spin bowling. I believe my career and experience will help me communicate with, and support the development of, our current groups of spinners. It's an incredibly exciting time to be part of cricket in Ireland."
Hauritz will take up the role in August, pending work permit approval.
