Peader’s horse racing commentaries are like going through the gears in your car.

Start of the race a low key first gear, down the backstraight, into second. Rounding the final bend, third gear, and as they approach the finish line whack it into fourth or fifth.

A former employee of Aer Rianta, Peader is well familiar with flying finishes. The race he mostly fondly remembers commentating on was the 2001 Irish Derby at the Curragh, when Galileo stormed to success for Aidan O’Brien and Mick Kinnane.

He's a Francophile, and is currently undertaking French lessons, so he loves calling home horses such as Mikael D'Haguenet, and Hors la Loi, and Garde Champetre!
