London 2012 silver and bronze medallists John Joe Nevin, Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan will each move up a weight for a 4-Nations tournament in Berck, France this weekend.

Barnes moves up from light-fly to fly, Conlan from fly to bantamweight and Nevin from bantam to lightweight for Normandy.

Ireland will meet France, Poland and the Ukraine at the tournament as part of their preparations for the AIBA World Elite Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan in October.

Jason Quigley, who along with Nevin is a current European Elite champion, is also included in the squad, along with 2011 European Elite champion Joe Ward.

The Normandy 4-Nations will be Ward’s first competitive outing since he twisted his knee at the European Elite Championships in Belarus in June.

The Irish squad leave for France on Thursday.
