Belfast’s Carl Frampton has retained his Commonwealth super-bantamweight crown with victory over Ghana’s Prosper Ankrah in Sheffield last night.

Frampton put an end to the fight in the second round in Sheffield, and the Northern Irishman will now be looking for a British, European or world title fight.

European champion Kiko Martinez and British champion Scott Quigg have been talked about as Frampton’s next possible opponents.

Frampton, managed by Barry McGuigan, wants Quigg next.

"I don't know if he [Quigg] wants it but, if he does, he should tell his promoter," he said after Saturday's fight at the Motorpoint Arena.

Frampton's first defence of the Commonwealth title was against Scotland's Kris Hughes in January.
