The heavyweight world championship bout between holder Vladimir Klitschko of Ukraine and Jean-Marc Mormeck will take place on 3 March.

The fight, which was originally scheduled for last month, was postponed after Klitschko underwent surgery to have a kidney stone removed.

Both camps had agreed on a date last December but the meeting was pending the international boxing federations' approval, which has been given by the WBA, the WBO, the IBO and the IBF, according to Mormeck's camp.

The 35-year-old Klitschko is looking to clinch his 50th knockout from 60 professional bouts against former cruiserweight world champion Mormeck.

Klitschko's older brother, Vitali, holds the only other major heavyweight belt after defending his WBC title last September against Poland's Tomasz Adamek.

Mormeck has just three fights under his belt at heavyweight level since he lost his WBC and WBA cruiserweight titles to Briton David Haye in 2007.
