Andy Murray retained his Irish lightweight title at the National stadium on Saturday night with a fifth-round stoppage of Oisin Fagan.

It's now 18 straight wins without loss for the Cavan man, who also holds the European Union lightweight title.

Fagan started strongly, but Murray soon found his range and in the fifth, the damage took it's toll and the referee stepped in to stop the fight.

Patrick Hyland, from Jobstown, retained his featherweight title with a seventh-round win over Mickey Coveney.

Coleman Barrett, a cousin of former Olympian Francie Barrett, won the Irish heavyweight title with a points win over Colin Kenna. Barrett appeared to be in trouble in round two when he was knocked to the canvas, but he showed great character to come back from the brink.

Anthony Fitzgerlad took the vacant Irish super middleweight title with a hard-earned points decision over Belfast's Ciaran Healy, while there were non-title wins for Jamie Conlon, Alexei Acosta and Willie Casey.
