A Junior NBA League is to launch in Ireland that will see 30 Irish boys and girls teams teams represent each of the NBA clubs.

The NBA Basketball Ireland League will feature 10 Irish clubs who will partner with three local primary schools to create 30 teams, each one representing an NBA club and receiving team-branded uniforms for games. 

The league will run from October to December, culminating in a festival of games at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. 

The Junior NBA is a global youth basketball programme that will reach more than 26 million children in 71 countries through camps, clinics, skills challenges, league play and outreach events.
