Phil Healy and Sarah Lavin both produced excellent runs at the World Indoor Tour final in Madrid to take third in their respective events.
Healy set an indoor personal best of 51.66 seconds in the 400m final. That time is less than one tenth of a second outside the 20-year-old Irish record held by Karen Shinkins.
The Cork woman came home behind Lithuanian Modesta Juste Morauskaite (51.63) and Poland's Justyna Swiety Ersetic (51.21).
Lavin shone in the 60m hurdles final, clocking 8.14 seconds. Finnish competitor Reeta Hurske (8.00) was second with Zoe Sedney of the Netherlands taking victory in 7.95.
Sophie Becker won the 400 'B’ final in 52.98 and ended with an overall ranking of fourth on the night.
All three are qualified for selection for the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade in 16 days' time.
