‘The current surrounding landscape is filled with uncertainty and pause. Collectively, it has been filled with heartache, separation, fear and so many hardships. Amidst these shadows, there were some bright moments that flickered through the trees of this landscape. One such moment, the subject of my piece “Together”, was shared between my boyfriend and I – a distanced cycle after six weeks of not seeing each other. The air and trees that rushed by felt new and incredible. We are all still in the dark but I am hopeful that the future will be filled with beauty and connection once again.’

Conor Merriman is a Dublin-based freelance art director, graphic designer and illustrator, with a BA in Visual Communication from the National College of Art and Design. From creating film poster artwork to packaging and print work, Conor specialises in brand-realisation and creative problem solving. Working over many disciplines - such as illustration, large-format display, logo creation, visual merchandise artwork, web/social media design and portraiture - he has worked with many well-known Irish and international brands.
