The Poetry Programme, Sunday 8th November
In the Poetry Programme on Sunday 8th November 2020 Olivia O'Leary meets poets Julie O’Callaghan and Michael O’Loughlin.
Michael O’Loughlin was born in Dublin and lived for many years in Barcelona and in Amsterdam. He has published five collections of poetry and has also translated poetry from Dutch, Spanish and Catalan and. He joins Olivia to talk about his work and reads from his forthcoming new collection, Liberty Hall, due for publication in 2021.
Born in Chicago, Julie O'Callaghan has lived in Ireland since 1974. She has published collections of poetry for older children as well as for adults, received the Michael Hartnett Award for poetry, and is a member of the Irish academy of arts, Aosdána. She joins Olivia to read from her latest collection, Magnum Mysterium, published by Bloodaxe in 2020.
