In the Poetry Programme on Sunday 26th May at 7:30 pm on RTÉ Radio 1 Olivia O'Leary is joined by poets Mary Noonan and Ciarán O’Rourke, and we hear a reading by Mary's late partner, Matthew Sweeney, who died last year.

The Poetry Programme, Saturday 1st October
On Culture Night, on 16 September last, presenter Rick O’Shea was joined by poets and musicians for the recording of a special episode of the Poetry Programme before an audience in the Coach House of Dublin Castle.
Recent winner of the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature Doireann Ní Ghríofa reads new and old poems in English and Irish, Elaine Feeney reads from the title poem of her forthcoming collection ‘Rise’, and Dave Lordan gives a powerful performance of a poem about the survivors of institutional abuse. The programme ends with a stunning musical setting of Joseph Mary Plunkett’s poem ‘Daybreak’ by musicians Lorcán Mac Mathúna, Íde Nic Mhathúna, Daire Bracken and Eamonn Galldubh from the show ‘1916-Visionaries And Their Words’.
