A weekly look at the world of business and personal finance with Richard Curran
Keeping Ryanair's Michael O Leary in check might not be the easiest or most enviable task, but that's exactly what Kenny Jacobs has signed up for. He was recently appointed as chief marketing officer at the airline. He joins us in studio.
Ireland's two pillar banks had a very different week. At Bank of Ireland's AGM, a rosy view was presented of the banks future, while it emerged the state will get more shares instead of cash as a dividend from AIB. We're joined by economist Cormac Lucey and Laura Noonan from Thompson Reuters to discuss.
Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Nemo, the Incredibles and the grumpy old man in Up, are all characters created by Pixar, the famous animation company founded back in 1986 by Ed Catmull. Buzz and his buddies have brought in over $8 billion at the box office. Ed Catmull joins us from London.
Well if you happen to be in possession of any Toy Story figures it might be wise to hide them away from the kids as they could be worth a tidy sum some day. It seems that vintage toys can be a clever investment as our own toy boy reporter Liam Geraghty has been finding out.
This week saw the very public rejection handed down to David Moyes when he was fired as the manager of Manchester United. Of course, everyone has experienced rejection, but how do you bounce back? We're joined by psychology lecturer, Dr Melona Kirrane, and Mick Dillon MD of Cars Ireland
