Sunday Miscellany Live at the Blue Stacks Festival, Abbey Arts Centre, Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.Sunday 6 October from 3.00 – 5.00 p.m.
The guests include writers Louise Kennedy, Olive Travers, Denise Blake, Brian Leyden, Gerard Beirne, Little John Nee, and others, with a mixture of music and song from Donegal, including the folk-jazz-choral ensemble, Hatchlings. Tickets free but booking is highly recommended.

This morning’s programme was recorded in St. Thomas’s Church on Achill Island as part of last weekend’s Heinrich Boll Memorial Weekend.

‘Achill Air’ played by Des Cafferkey on flute and Laoise Kelly on harp

  ‘Spórt’ by Peadar Ó Riada and ‘The Rolling Wave’ played by Diarmuid Gielty on fiddle and Laoise Kelly on harp.

  ‘The Rising of the Moon’ and ‘Teddy O’Neill’ played by Sean O’Malley of the Achill Pipe Band on highland pipes.

 ‘Separation of Soul and Body’ by Turlough O’Carolan played by Laoise Kelly

  ‘The Kerry Fling and Bill Malley’s Schottische’ played by Diarmuid Gielty and Laoise Kelly.
