Seascapes Friday 15 November 2019
In March of 1945, German submarine U-260 was scuttled by it's crew, three nautical miles south of Glandore harbour. The wreck was accidentlally discovered & later identified in 1978. Its discovery has posed a number of very interesting questions. Also tonight we have another extract from the book, At The Water's Edge, Two Boats, Around Ireland by Kayak. The book is based on the 1991 diary kept by the late Timmy Flavin, of his round Ireland trip by Kayak. It is a beautiful production and copies can be purchased (€15) from Timmy's wife, Bríd Farrell. Her email is: http://email@example.com
Plus we hear from Dr Willie Roche, of Inland Fisheries about the Government's National Planning Framework.
