On tonight's programme, Seascapes goes to the archives to find witnesses to a sudden storm in Ireland in 1927, Hugh Oram looks at boat building, Tom Dolan tells us about the Mini Transat race and Gery Flynn speaks about the latest edition of Inshore Ireland.

Commemoration in Lacken

On October 28, 1927 a sudden storm hit the West Coast of Ireland killing over 50 people, mostly fishermen. Nine were from Lacken in North Mayo and this weekend a commemoration will be held in the village to remember those who died. Seascapes went to the archives and found witnesses to the events of 90 years ago this weekend.
