Commemoration in Lacken
On October 28, 1927 a sudden storm hit the West Coast of Ireland killing over 50 people, mostly fishermen. Nine were from Lacken in North Mayo and this weekend a commemoration will be held in the village to remember those who died. Seascapes went to the archives and found witnesses to the events of 90 years ago this weekend.
Regular contributor Hugh Oram reports on an Irish boat building success story, Lencraft Boats in County Waterford.
