Martin Kenny told us how his house was broken into last week….they seemed to look mainly in the bedrooms and focused on jewellery. He believes there is a need for legislation to be brought in to stop the easy sale of gold and precious metals for money.

As Irish soldiers branded deserters for leaving their neutral army to fight for the Allies in WWII are finally pardoned – family members of some of the deserters expressed their joy that this day had arrived at long last.
