In Caherciveen, County Kerry this afternoon, Gardaí apologised to Joanne Hayes for her treatment during the original investigation into the murder of "Baby John" in 1984. Our Southern Editor, Paschal Sheehy was at the Garda press conference today and he spoke to Drivetime.

An action by the husband of a woman who died at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin during surgery for an ectopic pregnancy was settled today. Malak Thawley died in 2016 after what her husband's lawyers called a "cascade of negligence".
