World War One had just ended. There had been a revolution in Russia and the War of Independence had begun in Ireland.
It was amongst this tumultuous backdrop that a Soviet was declared and operated in Limerick for two weeks in April 1919.
In this documentary, Kevin O’Connor reconstructs and examines the ‘Limerick Soviet.’
