Counties Lockdown

The counties of Laois, Offaly & of Kildare are back in lockdown. Marty speaks to Brian Flanagan of the landmark Silken Thomas Bar & Restaurant in Kildare, Kara Kearns of KODE Clothing & Guy Clothing in Offaly & Sean Murphy of the Ashbrook Arms Town House B&B in Durrow.

Roof Top Farm

Brian McCarthy works in the family flower business but during lockdown he found himself with his business closed & time on his hands. Suzanne Campbell met with Brian & brings us this report.

Beach Closures

With the closure of some of the most popular beaches on county Clare over concerns about water quality along the western seaboard, Marty visited Lahinch to see how they were coping. On the line is Cathal Brody, environmental scientist with Clare County Council.

Bamboo Hurley

Traditionally the Irish hurley was made from ash & Torpeys of Sixmilebridge have been making hurleys with ash for decades, but now have swapped ash for bamboo. Marty meets John Torpey & his son Sean.

Covid 19 - return to Sport

The return to sport has been great to see, a welcome sign of some normal life. On the line to Marty are Catriona Cormican, Galway footballer & camogie player, Caroline O'Hanlon, Armagh footballer. To find out what is happening GAA wise this weekend, Michael Gorman, Chair of Kildare GAA County Board is also on the line.
